Meet The Team

 Dr. Joi Jones

Founder, Nex Level Behavioral Health

Dr. Joi Jones, a proud native of the East Side of Columbus, serves as a beacon of resilience and compassion within her community. As the eldest of five children, Joi was thrust into the role of caretaker at the tender age of 9, a responsibility that shaped her character and determination.

Despite facing immense challenges early in life, including addiction and various forms of abuse, Joi's indomitable spirit led her to a transformative path of recovery in 1996. Inspired by her newfound faith and purpose, she chose to transcend her past and dedicated herself to helping others.

In the initial stages of her recovery journey, Joi founded a successful cleaning business, providing employment opportunities to those in need. This venture not only thrived but also laid the foundation for her greater mission.

In 2016, driven by a profound desire to make a lasting impact, Joi established Nex Level Behavioral Health. This organization focuses on providing comprehensive support services, including employment, housing, and drug counseling, to individuals struggling with various life challenges. Under her leadership, Nex Level has expanded to include 11 houses, five of which can accommodate up to 16 residents each.

Today, Joi’s relentless dedication to aiding the less fortunate and empowering others defines her legacy. Her life story is a testament to the transformative power of faith, perseverance, and the unwavering belief in the potential for change.
